Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi will not leave the League 1 club during the January transfer window, according to his manager.
The 22-year-old has been in fine form this season and has scored 11 goals in 19 appearances in France's top flight; a tally bettered only by Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Batshuayi has also found the net twice in two games for Belgium's senior side and is in contention to secure a place in his nation's Euro 2016 squad this summer.
Although the majority of the forward's appearances came as a substitute last term he has now cemented his place in the starting line up at the Stade Velodrome and is regarded as one of the club's most valuable assets.
The forward's situation is reported to have attracted interest from a number of clubs across the continent, including Tottenham, but Marseille manager Michel is adamant the youngster will stay put during the current transfer window.
“You want to kill me! I don’t think about Michy leaving," the Spaniard told Maxifoot.
“If we’re going to sign anyone it will be an addition not a replacement.”
Brussels-born Batshuayi began his career with Standard Liege before he joined Marseille in the summer of 2014.
Marseille currently occupy 10th place in Ligue 1 but are just five points adrift of fourth and will be hopeful they can compete for a Champions League place during the second half of the season.
