Olly Murs finally tied the knot with long-term love Amelia Tank in an intimate ceremony held on Osea Island in Essex on Saturday.

The pop star, 39, made sure to pull out all the stops as he held a festival-style party, dubbed Murs Fest, the following day for their nearest and dearest.

The Heart Skips A Beat hitmaker and his 31-year-old wife partied until 2am surrounded by 160 guests, according to The Sun.

The couple had also built a funfair complete with a carousel and ferris wheel for their guests, including Mark Wright.

Murs reportedly performed several songs including a rendition of The Clash’s Should I Stay Or Should I Go despite telling The Standard he wouldn’t sing at the event, insisting Amelia would “kill” him if he did.

The couple had thought of everything for their guests, even reportedly getting the event catered by fast food giant McDonald’s alongside free doughnuts, ice cream and pizza.

A source told The Sun: “Olly and Amelia had a food truck from McDonald’s serving up all of the classics, including McNuggets. They were lovin’ it.”

Prior their big bash, the couple said, ‘I do’, in an intimate ceremony on Saturday surrounded by 60 guests.

Murs, who originally shot to fame as a finalist on ITV talent show The X Factor in 2009, first met his wife-to-be on Instagram in 2019.

They went official with their romance in 2020 and the Dance With Me Tonight hit-maker got down on one knee during a romantic beach getaway last June.

Speaking to the Standard ahead of his nuptials, Murs admitted he found the organising “stressful”.

“I’m really excited to see how it all comes together and I can’t wait to get married! It’s going to be weird,” he added.

Murs previously told The Sun he was a “groomzilla”, admitting: “I never expected it, I thought I’d be the opposite. Amelia will sit me down and go, ‘Look, we’ve decided on this’ and I’m like, ‘No, no, no. Get rid of that, change that, move that’.

“I didn’t know I cared so much about what the flowers look like but, honest to God, if I’m reincarnated, I’m coming back as a florist.

“I didn’t realise how much I would love picking what the plates are going to look like, the glasses.”
