Olly Murs is absolutely chomping at the bit to walk down the aisle with fiancée Amelia Tank.

The Die Of A Broken Heart singer, 38, popped the question to his bodybuilder other half in June during a romantic beach proposal and is excited to begin their new life together.

He’s happy however to let Tank take charge of all of the planning for the big day however, admitting he finds it “stressful”.

“She’s taking it in her stride [and] really enjoying it – it’s stressful,” he told the Standard.

“I’m just basically signing cheques, payments and bills. It’s brilliant though, I’m really excited to see how it all comes together and I can’t wait to get married! It’s going to be weird,” he added.

One area he has had input into is their first dance, which he says is all decided.

Despite dedicating his upcoming seventh studio album, Marry Me, to his bride-to-be, they won’t be throwing shapes to one of his own tracks.

“She would kill me!” he laughs. “Who knows what will happen on the day, but we’ve already got our song picked, we know what we’re gonna do.”

The Essex native has a busy time ahead of him before getting to say “I do” next year.

In addition to new music, he has a UK tour planned for 2023, including a date at the London O2 Arena where he will be supported by pop-rock band Scouting For Girls.

He’s also set to host the second series of Starstruck on ITV, which sees members of the public transformed into music icons.

This series sees country megastar Shania Twain joining the judging panel, with Murs gushing “she was just everything I expected and more.”

Somewhere inbetween it all, he also found time to make one Manchester family’s day by rocking up in a van at their door unannounced where he handed over a huge haul of tech goodies, including a new TV, gaming consoles and a tablet.

They will also receive a year’s free Volt services and tickets to his upcoming tour.

The surprise was a team up with Virgin Media O2 to celebrate the company reaching more than one million Volt customers and Murs says he was delighted to be a part of it.

“It was like Christmas come early! It was a really lovely thing to do, I really enjoyed it,” the former X Factor finalist reflected.

“They were sort of overwhelmed. I was trying to chat to them and have a conversation and ask them how they were feeling and I think they were completely shocked.”
