Cheryl has reached out to fans to thank them for sending birthday messages to baby son Bear as he turned one.

Cheryl was inundated with well wishes as she celebrated her son’s first milestone on Thursday.

She tweeted: “Thank you so much for all of your beautiful birthday wishes for Bear. Have told him he has lots.”

Liam Payne also celebrated his son’s big day by sharing a rare picture of the tot clutching on to his tattooed hand.

He captioned the shot: “Can’t believe my little man is one today, where does the time go?

“Happy birthday son you’re my world.”

The celebrity pair welcomed their first child together on March 22 last year. They have kept him out of the spotlight, posting very few pictures of his hands and feet.

Payne previously shared a video of the bear emoji to the sound of his son’s laughter.

The former One Direction singer recently opened up about his relationship with Cheryl after it was reported that the pair are on the rocks. Payne’s travelling to promote his solo career is said to be causing a strain on their romance.

Addressing the speculation in an interview with ES magazine he admitted their relationship hasn’t been smooth sailing, but insisted that they are still very much together.

“The funniest thing was a week before we were getting married,” he said. “The next week we’re splitting up. And the thing for me is, I just like to think we’re somewhere in the middle.

“You know, we have our struggles – like of course I’m not gonna sit here and say that everything’s absolutely fine and dandy, because of course you go through different things, and that’s what a relationship is.

He finished: “But we go through them together as a family and that’s the most important thing for me. This part of mine and my missus’s relationship was never not going to happen.”
