Calvin Harris has announced plans for a brand new album, featuring collaborations with stars including Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj and Snoop Dogg.

The Scottish DJ and super producer confirmed that his eagerly-awaited new record, titled Funk Wav Bounces Vol 1, will be released on June 30 and will feature the vocals of some very big names.

Announcing the news via a video posted on his Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon, Harris listed all of the superstars and rising talent that he has been working with over the last few months.

The list also includes his Frank Ocean, who Harris has worked with on new track Slide, Big Sean, Schoolboy Q, Travis Scott and Young Thug.

He has also recorded material with pop princess Ariana Grande, John Legend, Future and PartyNextDoor.

Among the big-name performers are stars of the future, including Toronto singer Jessie Reyez and the much-hyped Khalid.

Perry has also been speaking about her new album this week, and was asked about whether or not she’d recorded a track about her feud with Harris’ ex-girlfriend, Taylor Swift.

“There is no one thing that's calling out any one person” she told Entertainment Weekly.

“One thing to note is: You can't mistake kindness for weakness and don't come for me. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone. And that's not to any one person, and don't quote me that it is, because it's not. It's not about that.”

She added: “This record is not about anyone else - this record is about me being seen and heard so that I can see and hear everyone else. It's not even about me!”
