You season 3: Netflix release date, cast and plot details
Unless you've been hiding out under a rock recently, you will have probably seen or heard about Netflix's psychological thriller, You.
Gossip Girl's Penn Badgley stars as the show's protagonist Joe Goldberg, who is complex to say the least. On one hand, he's a smart, caring person, but on the other hand, he's, y'know, a serial killer.
Season two of the hit show saw Goldberg move to sunny LA in a bid to escape his ex-girlfriend Candace, as well as the ghost of Beck.
And despite the fact the latest series only recently dropped on the streaming site, fans are already begging for more. Here's what we know so far about season three of You...
When is You season 3 released on Netflix?
After weeks of guessing, Netflix has finally confirmed that You will return for a third season on Netflix in 2021.
Season 3 will feature 10- all-new episodes with Sera Gamble and Greg Berlanti returning as executive producers.
However, when in 2021 it will land is still up for debate and the streaming giant is still yet to confirm this, but based on the previous series this could be just after Christmas.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Badgley discussed the progression of Love's character, saying: “She doesn’t appear to be the same kind of person.
“She doesn’t appear to be the same kind of predator."
He then added: “She doesn’t appear to be the same kind of… you know, dare I say, in the same third season. Oh God!”
Badgley then placed his hands over his mouth, realising he'd just blurted out that season three is in the pipeline.
Who will be in the cast for season 3?
Well then. WELL. THEN.
We of course know that Penn will reprise his role as Creep of the Decade, Joe Goldberg.
Victoria Pedretti has also been confirmed to be returning as Love Quinn, which is now shock as she's now pregnant with Joe's baby.
Beyond that, we don't know who will appear in the new season, as between the pair of them, they've pretty much annihilated everyone.
What will season 3 of You be about?
Well, if this fan theory is anything to go by, season three of You will explore Joe's relationship with his mother in more detail.
Fans have a hunch that the killers' new neighbour at the very end of the latest season is in fact Joe's mamma.
While we saw a glimpse of Joe's past in flashbacks in season two, we don't know know whether his mum is still alive.
If she is, then season 3 could make for a good'un.
We also expect to see more of Love - and see their baby.
The season synopsis reads: "In the second season, Joe moves from New York to Los Angeles to escape his past, and starts over with a new identity.
"Fresh out of an intense relationship that ended in murder, the last thing he expects is to meet an incredible new woman but he’s falling in love again — with a woman named Love.
"Is history repeating? Or will this time be the real thing? Joe’s just crazy enough to risk finding out."
