Tiffany Pollard was left hysterical after mistakenly believing her fellow Celebrity Big Brother housemate David Gest had died.

The Flavor of Love star, 34, was informed of the death of Angie Bowie’s ex-husband David Bowie – but thought the former model was talking about the American producer.

Seeing that Angie was upset on returning to the house from the Diary Room, Tiffany suggested they sit on the sofas.

“You’ve gotta do me a favour, you can’t say a word...,” Angie told Tiffany.

After she agreed, Angie whispered: “David’s dead.”

Confused, the American reality star panicked that Angie meant Gest.

After a scene of confusion with the other housemates, Daniella Westbrook eventually told Tiffany: “She means her ex-husband, David.”

Angie was informed off camera of the news on Monday. She decided to stay in the house.

Speaking to Big Brother on hearing the news, she said: “I haven't seen him in so many years I can't make a big drama about it. But I feel an era has ended.”

She added: “I’m so very sad. Stardust has gone.”

David Bowie died on Sunday January 10 after a secret 18 month battle with cancer.
