EastEnders record good luck video for Coronation Street ahead of live episode
EastEnders have wished Coronation Street good luck ahead of their live episode tonight.
The ITV soap has been preparing for an hour long live episode to celebrate the shows 60th anniversary.
The episode will follow the Platt family and their battle to shake-off drug dealer Callum Logan.
To prove there is no rivalry between the shows, a handful of actors from the BBC soap tweeted a good luck video to Coronation Street.

“Alongside the 24 second clip they posted: “A very special "GOOD LUCK!" to @ITVCorrie from everyone at #EastEnders HQ!”
Opening the video was actress Diane Parish (Denise Fox) who said: “To all our friends at Coronation Street, good luck on your live episode.”
Ellen Thomas, who plays Claudette Hubbard, and Jamie Borthwick, who plays Jay Brown, also sent their best wishes as well as, Fat Boy, played by Ricky Norwood, who joked that the cast should refrain from drinking alcohol.
“Hey corrie I know you’re going live so listen,” he said. “Make sure you’ve got all your lines right no drinking before the show and stay focused.”
Coronation Street live 2015: behind the scenes
The BBC soap put on a live episode in February in celebration of its 30th anniversary, which featured the culmination of the ‘Who killed Lucy Beale?’ storyline.
Actress Jo Joyner – who played Tanya – made headlines after she fluffed her lines by calling Ian Beale’s character by the actor’s real name – Adam Woodyatt.
Coronation Street is on ITV tonight at 7:30pm.
