Wilson banned for steroids

British discus record holder Perriss Wilkins has been banned for two years following a positive drugs test for anabolic steroids.

Wilkins, 34, joins banned pole-vaulter Janine Whitlock after being suspended by UK Athletics, who said in a statement today: "The independent disciplinary committee has decided that Perriss Wilkins committed a doping offence and is now ineligible to take part in athletics events for two years."
