Wie learns from setback

Teenage prodigy Michelle Wie has added incentive to prove she is already among the best in the world when she tees off in the US Women's Open at the Orchards Golf Club in Massachusetts on Thursday.

The 14-year-old American narrowly failed in her bid to defend the US Women's Amateur Public Links Championship on Sunday, losing on the final hole to Taiwan's 15-year-old Tseng Ya-Ni. It reduced Wie to tears and she said: "Yes I was really sad. But you learn more when you lose."
