West Ham striker Andy Carroll and fiance Billi Mucklow have announced the birth of their second child, Wolf Nine.

The former The Only Way is Essex star confirmed the birth and name via Instagram, writing: "Wolf Nine Carroll, You Have Stole Our Hearts 15-11-17."

Wolf joins older brother Arlo, who is two years old, while Carroll's daughter Emilie Rose, seven, and first son Lucas, four, are from previous relationships.

Carroll, who has worn West Ham's no.9 shirt for the past four seasons, and Mucklow have not confirmed the reasoning behind the uncommon choice of name.

Fans on social media have suggested inspiration from Victoria and David Beckham, who named their daughter Harper Seven after the former footballer's shirt number at Manchester United.

Carroll and Mucklow have been together since 2014.

The striker could feature for West Ham on Sunday as David Moyes begins his tenure in charge with a trip to Vicarage Road to face Watford, with first-choice striker Javier Hernandez ruled out through injury.
