Feeling lucky? Two mystic mutts from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home predict Wimbledon winners

Two mystic mutts have attempted to predict the winners of Wimbledon 2018 .

Jay and Bamboo, from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, used tennis balls to pick their winners for the upcoming tennis tournament.

Five buckets filled with balls were lined up, with a photograph of one of the top five seeds adorning each one.

After some time deliberating, Jay, a staffie, opted for Roger Federer as the winner of the men’s championship.

The Swiss legend won Wimbledon for the eighth time last summer and goes into the tournament as the number one seed this year.

Bamboo, a mongrel, plumped for Romanian Simona Halep as the women’s winner. She has only one won Grand Slam in her career but is currently the world number one.

Wimbledon begins on July 2 and runs for two weeks. Andy Murray, who is making his return from a serious hip injury, will play Frenchman Benoit Paire in the first round.

Federer will face Serbian Dusan Lajovic, while Simona Halep begins her tournament against Japan’s Kurumi Nara.
