Organisers the All England Lawn Tennis Club told SPORTbible that food and beverage inflation was a "significant challenge nationwide" and that they had had to increase prices.

“However, we continue to work hard to ensure we are using the best British and seasonal produce and have a range of products that suit all budgets,” the All England England Club said.

“We also remain one of the few sporting events to allow guests to bring in their own food and drink and we have 95 refillable water points across the site.

“More than 80 per cent of tickets available through the Wimbledon public ballot and the queue have been held at 2022 price levels.”

Wimbledon began on Monday, July 3 and ends on Sunday, July 16.

The All England Club says: “You are welcome to bring your own food and drink to Wimbledon, but please note hard-sided containers and items, such as picnic hampers/cool boxes, flasks and camping chairs are not allowed.“
