15-year-old Cori ‘Coco’ Gauff will make her Wimbledon debut against five-time champion Venus Williams.

Gauff became the youngest person to qualify for Wimbledon in the Open Era after coming through her third qualifying round in Roehampton earlier this week.

Friday’s draw fed the Florida-born teenager into a first round clash with 39-year-old Williams – who won two titles at SW19 before her latest opponent was even born.

Williams remarkably scooped four of her seven grand slam titles before Gouff was born in 2004.

Elsewhere in the women’s draw, Ashleigh Barty will play her first match as the top seed at a grand slam against China's Zheng Saisai. Former Wimbledon champion Garbine Muguruza could await in the third round.

Johanna Konta will face Romanian qualifier Ana Bogdan while British wild card Katie Swan, who won her first match at Wimbledon last summer, begins her campaign against Laura Siegemund of Germany.

Serena Williams will take on Italian qualifier Giulia Gatto-Monticone.
