Spurs get Cardiff's 'unlucky end'

13 April 2012

Tottenham will need to overcome the Millennium Stadium's 'South Stand hoodoo' to win this season's Worthington Cup.

Spurs supporters have been allocated the South Stand for this season's final against Blackburn on Sunday 24 February.

All seven domestic finals held in Cardiff last season were won by the teams whose fans occupied the North Stand.

Football League head of communications John Nagle said: "The ends are allocated according to which direction fans are heading into Cardiff. Rovers fans come down from the north west and Spurs fans from London, therefore it is Blackburn who have been given the North Stand."

Both clubs have been allocated 30,000 tickets.

For the first time half-price concessions will be available to under-16s and over-65s throughout the whole stadium. Tickets will be priced at £60, £49, £39 and £29.
