Britain’s Olympic hopefuls have been urged not to go out for runs at night from their training camp in Belo Horizonte.

Team GB staff have addressed safety fears in a notice in their hotel.

“You can run from the hotel round the lake on designated running and cycle pathways.

“But please remember the sun sets at 7.30pm and it is not advisable to be running after dark.”

Rio 2016 Olympics preview

"We've got a big crew still up in Belo Horizonte training and athletes who are competing 24 or 48 hours after the opening ceremony.
