Serena Williams eased into the fourth round at Wimbledon with a straight-sets win over Annika Beck.

The defending champion was on court for just 51 minutes as she won 6-3, 6-0 and will play either 13th seed Svetlana Kuznetsova or 18th seed Sloane Stephens next.

Beck beat Britain's Heather Watson in the first round but she was no match for Williams.

The world No1 - bidding for an incredible 22nd Grand Slam title - breezed through the match to send an ominous warning to the rest of the draw.

Williams was actually broken early in the first set but broke back immediately and then took control raced to her 300th Grand Slam win.

Williams said: "I still want to get off to a faster start but I was really clam today.

"I have never played on the middle Sunday at Wimbledon before.
