Schwer retires after title loss

Billy Schwer has announced his retirement from the ring following his 11th round defeat by Argentinian boxer Pablo Sarmiento.  

Defeat meant the loss of his IBO world light-welterweight title at Wembley Conference Centre.

After being stopped in a fight he was expected to win Schwer decided to end his 11-year career.

His father Billy senior, said: "That's the end. He definitely will not be continuing."
