Santos in QPR plan

Ipswich defender George Santos today named Queens Park Rangers as his first-choice destination in a free transfer move. The 33-year-old, who is surplus to requirements at the Portman Road club, is also considering an approach from Burnley.

Manager Joe Royle claims Santos - signed on a free transfer last summer - will struggle to play at Ipswich next season because of competition for places at centre-half.
