Rhys Evans kept up by fear of the drop

13 April 2012

Rhys Evans admits his and Millwall's uncertain futures are giving him sleepless nights.

The 2-0 home defeat by Leeds leaves the Lions locked in the League One relegation dogfight, while goalkeeper Evans is also out of contract at the end of the season.

He said: "I'm not looking for a sob story, but I have found it really hard lately. I'm only here until the end of the season and I'd love to stay. If that wasn't enough, I'm worried about our league position.

"I haven't made too many mistakes since I've been here and I don't want to make any in our final two games that will be costly to the club. So at the moment I'm going to bed late and waking up early. It's not easy, but it's what I'm paid to do."

LEYTON ORIENT manager Martin Ling was pleased after his side ended a run of five successive defeats with a 1-1 draw at home to Doncaster.

He said: "We didn't win, but we did shade the game against a team third in the table.

"I think that's probably our best performance in the last 10 games, and we want more of that."
