RGS High Wycombe reach last 32

RGS High Wycombe survived a test of character to reach the last32 of the Daily Mail Under 18 Cup when they overcame a commited andhitherto unbeaten Aylesbury Grammar School 21-0.

RGS, beaten finalists in1998 and 99, were disrupted when their England No 8 Adam Gilbert had toleave the field early with a migraine.

They established a shaky 6-0 leadthrough two Ed Garrow penalties by half time.

But afterthe break, theirimpressive flanker Jamie Astbury led a much improved pack.

Aylesbury, withlimited possession, were punished further by another Garrow penalty for ahigh tackle, Astbury scored the first try after good continuity by RGS andSouth African wing Ntete Thulane's touchdown confirmed their superiority.
