Reyes dropped by Spain

14 April 2012

Arsenal's record signing Jose Reyes has been left out of Spain's squad for next week's friendly against Peru in Barcelona.

Reyes, who completed his move to Highbury from Sevilla during the transfer window, has been overlooked by Spain coach Inaki Saez who has also left out Real Madrid midfielder Guti and Deportivo La Coruna defender Cesar.

In-form Espanyol striker Raul Tamudo has been given a chance to impress ahead of Valencia frontman Mista who had been tipped to receive a call-up.

Atletico Madrid youngster Fernando Torres is another absentee as he recovers from a knee injury.
