Red Rufus misses out

Rufus Brevett will be suspended for West Ham's match against Reading tomorrow in accordance with the new disciplinary procedure.

Brevett was booked in the first half of the 0-0 draw at Leicester following a flare-up with Dion Dublin, who was sent off. The defender then received a second yellow card six minutes from time after a challenge on James Scowcroft.

Promising teenager Chris Cohen looks likely to replace Brevett in tomorrow's match against Alan Pardew's former club Reading, while the West Ham manager is looking for an improved performance.

Pardew said: "The spark wasn't quite there against Leicester. We didn't pass the ball but it wasn't easy because Leicester defended in depth."
