South Africa picked up the last two India wickets in the first 30 minutes of day five to secure victory by an innings and 25 runs in the first Test at Centurion.

Sachin Tendulkar, who on Sunday became the first batsman to score 50 centuries in Test cricket, was left stranded on 111 as the tourists' two remaining wickets fell cheaply.

Resuming on 454 for eight, India had to add 31 runs to make the Proteas bat again - but managed just five in less than six overs.

Dale Steyn finished with second-innings figures of four for 105, while Morne Morkel and Paul Harris each claimed two wickets.
