Owusu on target again

13 April 2012

Lloyd Owusu is closing in on his target of 20 goals for the season after scoring twice in Brentford's 2-0 victory over Swindon at Griffin Park last night.

The striker scored in each half to keep Brentford fourth in the Second Division and take his tally to 17 goals in the League and 18 altogether.

"This was always going to be a big year for me," he said. "I wanted to prove that if I stayed fit I could score 20 goals in a season and that's my big aim now.

"It's a magical mark for any striker and I'm very close. I've always believed in myself and I want to play in the First Division, hopefully with Brentford."
