No medal but Ross wins the real prize

England’s Ross Fisher earned his PGA Tour card but missed out on medallist honours by one shot as he bogeyed the last hole in his six-under final round of 66.

He claimed seven birdies before a five at the par-four 18th on the PGA West Stadium Course in California left him on 24 under after six rounds.

South Korea’s Dong-hwan Lee pipped Fisher to the Qualifying School leader’s medal by a stroke.
