Flop Audley Harrison calls it quits

Audley Harrison today announced his retirement after being knocked out by Deontay Wilder at the weekend.

The 41-year-old became the first British fighter to win an Olympic super-heavyweight gold medal in 2000 but failed to hit the heights as a professional, losing seven times.

He said: “There are only so many times you can fall before it becomes foolhardy to continue. Sadly my dream to be a world champion will be unrealised.”
