Okocha puts contract talks on hold

14 April 2012

Bolton captain Jay-Jay Okocha has put contract talks on hold until the end of the season.

Okocha is determined to focus on his game and help end the club's run of seven games without a victory.

He has struggled to find his best form since returning from the African Nations Cup with Nigeria.

Okocha, who is out of contract in the summer, told BBC GMR: "I have decided to leave everything until the end of the season.

"I am still a Bolton player and I just have to focus on the remaining games and give my all. Then we will see what will happen.

"I am not under any pressure to make a decision. I just want to get my form back and don't want anything to distract me."
