NFL Wild Card weekend preview: how to watch, live stream, TV channel, odds

The New Year is here, and so too is the NFL postseason. Over the next month, twelve teams will battle it out in the playoffs, with the two conference champions meeting in the season finale, the Super Bowl in Atlanta, on February 3.

The top two seeds in each conference - the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots in the AFC, and the New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams in the NFC - receive an automatic bye into the divisional round.

For everyone else, the fun starts here. The wildcard round pits the four divisional champions that didn't receive byes against the four teams who snuck into the playoffs as the best of the rest.

There are four games in total, two in each conference, with the divisional champions given home field advantage in all four.

AFC
Houston Texans vs Indianapolis Colts (9:35pm, Saturday 5 January)
Baltimore Ravens vs Los Angeles Chargers (6:05pm, Sunday 6 January)

NFC
Dallas Cowboys vs Seattle Seahawks (1:15am, Sunday 6 January)
Chicago Bears vs Philadelphia Eagles (9:40pm, Sunday 6 January)

All four games are being shown live on Sky Sports' Action and Main Event channels, and is available via Now TV with a day pass on offer for £7.99.
