Morariu in health battle

American professional Corina Morariu is undergoing chemotherapy for a rare form of leukaemia.

The 23-year-old, who won the 1999 Wimbledon women's doubles title with fellow countrywoman Lindsay Davenport and this year's Australian Open mixed doubles crown with South African Ellis Ferreira, is being treated in Florida.

Morariu's agent, David Egdes, of the International Management Group said: "Our thoughts and prayers are with Corina and her family."
