Lewington lament at draw

Watford stretched their unbeaten run to five games but a last minute strike by former Liverpool star Steve Staunton handed Coventry a spectacular equaliser.

Seven minutes earlier Watford had taken the lead when Scott Fitzgerald bundled the ball home from a Neil Ardley corner and manager Ray Lewington admitted: "I thought we would go on and win it from there because they hadn't created much at all in the second-half.

"Staunton's was a great strike though and sometimes that happens in football. We wanted three points but at least we didn't get beaten and we have to keep the run going."
