League backs free Bees plan

Brentford are allowing all supporters in free for their home match against Peterborough on 13 October.

"It's the first time a professional club has ever done this in the history of football," said managing director Gary Hargraves.

"We've checked that with the Football League and they are fully behind us.

"We see it is a real chance to bring new fans to Griffin Park. The Premiership these days is all about big money and big finance and sometimes the fans get left out.

"So we have to be an antidote to that and be proactive."
