King lands a title one-two

John Ruiz is to defend his world heavyweight championship just one week after Lennox Lewis attempts to regain his two world title belts.

Controversial promoter Don King has pulled off an audacious double by securing the two fights.

As revealed by Standard Sport last week, Londoner Lewis will meet Hasim Rahman in Las Vegas on 17 November for the World Boxing Council and International Boxing Federation titles.

Then, on 24 November, Ruiz defends the World Boxing Association championship against Evander Holyfield in China.
