Xabi Alonso wants to stay at Liverpool and is determined to help the club win the Barclays Premier League next season.

The Spanish midfielder looked set to join Juventus after four years at Anfield but insists he wants to remain part of Rafael Benitez's side, reports The Sun.

Alonso has won the Champions League with Liverpool and Euro 2008 with Spain, however, the 26-year-old has still failed to win a league medal.
