Royal Ascot got underway in surreal circumstances on Tuesday, with the meeting being held behind-closed-doors for the first time in its history because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Jockey Jim Crowley was the star, with his King's Stand Stakes success on Battaash part of a day one treble, while the familiar partnership of Ryan Moore and Aidan O'Brien also took Group One honours with Circus Maximus in the Queen Anne Stakes.

That pair are on the hunt for more joy today with Japan beginning his four-year-old season as the short-priced favourite in the feature race, the Prince of Wales' Stakes, at 3.00pm, while Ouzo and Chief Little Hawk head the betting for the Silver Royal Hunt Cup and Windsor Castle Stakes, respectively.

The restrictions in place mean that even Her Majesty The Queen is unable to attend this year's meeting but she does have high hopes of a first Royal Ascot winner since 2013, with First Receiver favourite for the Hampton Court Stakes.
