Holloway joy at new contract

14 April 2012

QPR manager Ian Holloway claimed signing a new three-and-a-half-year contract at Loftus Road was like winning the lottery.

The 41-year-old agreed a new deal this morning which commits him to the club until June 2008 and he is determined to lead QPR to promotion from the Coca-Cola Championship.

"It feels like I've won the lottery," he told the club's official website, www.qpr.co.uk.

"I always said that I wanted to finish what I started here and there is no happier man alive.

"I have a dream and it's a dream I share with the board - competing in the Premiership.

"The passion and commitment at this club from top to bottom is just fantastic. We're not instant coffee here - this is long term and I want to help lift our brand even higher."

The former Bristol Rovers manager led Rangers to promotion from Division Two last season after taking over at Loftus Road in 2001.
