Greg set to face Roddick

14 April 2012

Greg Rusedski is on course for a third-round showdown with his Wimbledon conqueror Andy Roddick at the Legg Mason Classic in Washington.

Rusedski, seeded 14, cruised through the second round with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Ivan Miranda of Peru and will now face Roddick if the second seed defeats fellow American Bob Bryan tonight.

Roddick has won two of his three meetings with Rusedski, including their match at the All England Club this summer.

British No1 Tim Henman faces Paul Goldstein in the second round tonight after the American beat compatriot Brian Baker 6-2, 6-2.

Top seed Andre Agassi went through to the third round with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Ivo Heuberger of Switzerland.

The American said: "I felt pretty good out there. It was a good start and I look forward to getting better over the summer."
