Freddie's at the ready

The surprise package of Euro 2004 can be Sweden who open their Group C campaign against Bulgaria in Lisbon tonight.

That's the view of Freddie Ljungberg, who said: "We don't want to be big-headed but I think we can upset some of the big teams."

Ljungberg's optimism has been encouraged by the return of Henrik Larsson out of international retirement. The prolific striker is likely to start alongside either Marcus Allback or Mattias Jonson.

Captain Olof Mellberg has declared himself fit after an Achilles problem.

Meanwhile, for Bulgaria, striker Velizar Dimitrov has recovered from a thigh injury.

Sweden v Bulgaria, Estadio Jose Alvalade, tonight, 7.45pm (live on ITV1)
