Fraser leads Middlesex fight

Angus Fraser sparked a much-needed fightback with three wickets against Second Division promotion rivals Hampshire today after his Middlesex side had been shot out for a season's worst 101.

Only Andrew Strauss, with a fighting 56, kept Hampshire at bay before falling to Dimitri Mascarenhas, who finished with a career best 6-26.

WEST END: Middx 101, Hants 28-4. THE OVAL: Yorks 123-4 v Surrey. CANTERBURY: Kent 108, Northants 106-1. CHELMSFORD: Somerset 207-5 v Essex. BRISTOL: Gloucs 255-2 v Derbys. RIVERSIDE: Durham 118-1 v Worcs.
