BBC v ITV... where will you be watching the World Cup final?

You decide: Gary Lineker or Adrian Chiles?
10 April 2012

Take a look at our guide to the respective channels...

Presenters/pundits

BBC: Gary Lineker's good - and he knows it. Pundits have also been a hit, but 'Lawro' divides opinion.

ITV: Like the finals, Adrian Chiles has improved with each game. The lack of Edgar Davids has also helped.

Commentators

BBC: Unlike predecessor Motty, Guy Mowbray has never chuckled to himself over an obscure stat.

ITV: Clive Tyldesley. Reason enough to reach for the remote.

Location

BBC: Table Mountain would be the perfect backdrop if the final was in Cape Town. But it's not so it isn't.

ITV: Soccer City might not be as pleasing on the eye, but it's the place to be on World Cup Final night.

Ad breaks

BBC: Lack of ads allows Lineker and co to provide proper analysis.

ITV: The main reason fans will watch the Beeb's coverage - if only to avoid those dreadful cars.
