Alan Shearer was filmed delivering an extraordinary rant at “cheating, robbing” Colombia after England’s victory over the South American nation in a dramatic penalty shootout.

Video has emerged of the TV pundit offloading some choice words while sat in a BBC television studio next to Jermaine Jenas.

The footage was shot while the pair were off-air during Tuesday night’s highlights show.

Much to the amusement of Jenas, the former England striker took Colombia to task after a bad tempered encounter saw the country's players criticised for their aggressive approach.

He said: “We don’t even care. Whatever way you want we’ll just talk about it.

“Who gives a s***. We’ll smile and be happy and say ‘Well done lads’.

“Colombia you cheating, robbing, f******....”

During the highlights show, Shearer treated viewers to a rendition on Football's Coming Home' in front of Jenas and presenter Gary Lineker.

Colombia picked up six yellow cards in the encounter, including one for Wilmar Barrios who was seen headbutting Jordan Henderson in the first half.

England’s players demanded referee Mark Geiger look at the clash on VAR amid claims the player should have recieved a straight red.

Even one of the Colombia coaching staff got involved at half-time, barging his shoulder into Raheem Sterling as he ran towards the dressing room.

And after the break Carlos Sanchez was found guilty of grappling Harry Kane to the ground at a set piece for which England were awarded a penalty.

That didn’t stop Colombia players from launching a furious protest, delaying the penalty by three minutes.

And television cameras showed Johan Mojica scuffing up the penalty spot with his boot to make it more difficult for a clean shot to be taken.

Captain Radamel Falcao continued to protest after full time, accusing the referee of being biased against his team.

He said: "When in doubt he always went to the England side. It's shameful that this happens in the round of 16 of a World Cup."
