Fulham will contest the 2019/20 Championship play-off final after overcoming Cardiff City in a two-legged affair.

Leading 2-0 from the semi-final first leg thanks to stunning goals from Josh Onomah and Neeskens Kebano, Scott Parker's side made the worst possible start at Craven Cottage as Curtis Nelson headed in from a corner.

Kebano hit back within 24 seconds to level the game, though substitute Lee Tomlin's effort after the interval ensured a nervy finish as Fulham eventually prevailed 3-2 on aggregate.

24 hours earlier, fellow west Londoners Brentford defeated Swansea City to book their spot at Wembley.

Trailing 1-0 in the tie courtesy of Andre Ayew's goal in south Wales on Sunday evening, Thomas Frank's Bees made a blistering start to the all-important second leg and turned things around inside 15 minutes courtesy of goals from Ollie Watkins and Emiliano Marcondes.

Bryan Mbeumo then volleyed in Rico Henry's cross shortly after half-time, with Liverpool loanee Rhian Brewster's effort not enough in another 3-2 aggregate victory for the second-leg hosts.

It was the perfect send-off for Griffin Park, with Brentford bidding farewell to their old ground after 116 years ahead of a summer move to the newly-built Brentford Community Stadium.
