Sitting with the Schalke fans... what Arsenal can expect from Sead Kolasinac

New Arsenal signing Sead Kolasinac has spent his whole senior career at Schalke, and revealed he said farewell to the fans in style during the final game of the Bundesliga season.

Kolasinac left Schalke this summer to join Arsenal on a free transfer, with Arsene Wenger stating that the Bosnia international can play either on the flank or as part of his new-look three-man defence.

The left-back had picked up a suspension for Schalke's last game of the 2016/17 season, so could not feature against Ingostadt in what would have been his final outing for The Miners.

However, Kolasinac was keen to enjoy the match with the fans who supported him since he broke into the first team in 2012 aged just 19.

"It was my last game but I couldn’t play because I’d picked up my fifth yellow card," he told the club's website.

"I thought that as I couldn’t play, I’d travel with the fans, so I could see what they do for us. It was a very interesting experience for me."

Kolasinac made 81 Bundesliga starts for Schalke, scoring four goals, and had to recover from an anterior cruciate ligament injury in 2013 that kept him out of the team for six months.
