West Ham transfer targets include Eberechi Eze and Ryan Manning as David Moyes targets young stars

Having kept West Ham in the Premier League for a second time, David Moyes now gets the first real chance to put his vision into place.

The Hammers boss showed his thinking with the additions of Jarrod Bowen and Tomas Soucek in January.

Moyes wants to shun the overpriced players who have under-delivered for the Hammers in recent years in favour of younger energetic talent. He also aims to push players such as Ben Johnson, Grady Diangana and, perhaps, Josh Cullen from within their own ranks.

Moyes knows his budget is likely to be tight. Another forward would be preferable, with Queens Park Rangers’ Eberechi Eze a target, while Moyes will also look to the Championship to strengthen at the back having cast his eye over Eze’s team-mate Ryan Manning as well as Wigan’s Antonee Robinson recently.

Felipe Anderson, Albian Ajeti and Manuel Lanzini are among those who could leave. There is a question over the future of Andriy Yarmolenko though the club are not actively looking to sell him.

The man who will garner most interest from within their ranks is Declan Rice. However, Moyes has made it clear it will take “Bank of England” money to shift the England international, who is such a key part of his plans for the club.
