West Ham manager Slaven Bilic admits that while he found it 'impossible' to make any signings before Euro 2016, the club will be using the tournament to scout for new players.

While West Ham have been busy working on transfers with co-chairman David Sullivan confirming earlier this week that the club have five active bids in for new recruits.

Sullivan also confirmed that the Hammers would have wanted to try and bring Arsenal target Jamie Vardy to the Olympic Stadium were it not for the finances involved.

Bilic told ITV Sport: "We've been monitoring the players throughout the season, especially at the end of the season, so now some of those players will play [in France].

"We aren't going to judge the players just based on their performances at the European Championships, but it will definitely help.

"It will help us to make our decision and there are definitely a few of them that we will have a detailed look at during the Euros.

"We tried to do some business before the Euros, but it was impossible; it didn't happen.

"But as I said to the chairmen and the board, we are not panicking. We have a good team - if we can add something to that team to make us better than OK.

"If we don't, we have a good team."
