David Moyes says West Ham are not yet at the level to hit their highest standard across a Premier League season after Wolves put an end to their seven game unbeaten run.

The Hammers arrived at Molineux without having suffered a defeat since losing to Brentford in early October and with hopes of making it five top-flight wins on the bounce, but looked flat and offered little fight as Raul Jimenez's third goal of the season claimed all three points for the hosts.

West Ham have been impressive this term and went into the international break on the high of beating Liverpool to move up to third in the league - a standard they could not match here as they played their first game without Angelo Ogbonna, who will miss the rest of the season after an ACL injury.

"I think there was a bit missing," admitted Moyes. "A couple of players not really at the level they've shown, a couple coming back from illness.

"We just weren't quite at the races, the first time playing without Angelo. There's a few things but no excuses. The games in the Premier League, there is very little between the teams.

"Today was very tight but we didn't play as well as we have done. But if you expect us to be on it every game then we'll be having these questions quite a bit because we're not at the level yet to play at the highest standards every single game this season."
