Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany celebrated winning a third Premier League medal in front of his Manchester United-supporting father-in-law on Sunday.

City moved to the brink of glory with victory at Tottenham on Saturday but the crowning moment came as bottom club West Brom stunned United, winning 1-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday.

City posted a live video of Kompany celebrating the title triumph in his family's living room as the full-time whistle sounded at Old Trafford.

A glum United fan sat quietly in the corner as Kompany and his wife leapt from their seats to mark the moment City clinched their second trophy of a remarkable campaign.

Kompany later embraced his wife's father before Facetimeing team-mates Kevin De Bruyne and Kyle Walker.

A voice off camera asks 'are they coming round for a Vardy moment?'

"It just shows how football is lived in Manchester," Kompany told The Mirror.

"We've got reds in the family and blues in the family so it was a good day for the blues, there's been many days for the red half.

"He is a better winner than a loser to be honest but it's all banter and he was gracious about it and he was happy for the family it was a great day."

Kompany later partied at a bar in Hale, near Altrincham, with fans and a group of team-mates including Bernardo Silva, Kyle Walker, Fabian Delph and John Stones.
