Transfer news: Tom Ince joins Crystal Palace on loan as Blackpool finally agree to deal

Tom Ince will join Crystal Palace for the rest of the season on loan after Blackpool finally agreed to the deal.

Despite spending most of the day at Palace's training ground in south London having undergone his medical on Thursday, there had been some doubt whether Ince would complete his move. Eagles' sporting director Iain Moody earlier admitted it was 'still in the balance' after Seasiders chairman Karl Oyston reportedly had second thoughts about sanctioning his move.

But Standard Sport has now had confirmation that the deal is now complete, with Stephen Dobbie also set to join Blackpool on loan. Palace are thought to be paying a loan fee of £1million to secure Ince, who is expected to sign for Monaco at the end of the season when he is a free agent.

With only 15 Premier League games to play, that works out as £67,000 a match but it is a financial risk co-chairman Steve Parish is willing to make.

Palace have also confirmed a three and a half year deal for Blackburn defender Scott Dann. It is understood the 26-year-old has cost £1.7million but having been relegated with Birmingham and Blackburn during his last two top-flight seasons, Palace fans will be hoping history does not repeat itself again.
