Arsenal and Tottenham target Christoph Kramer would prefer to stay in Germany than move abroad, according to his Italian agent.

Both north London clubs are believed to have sent scouts to watch the midfielder, who belongs to Bayer Leverkusen but is currently on loan at Borussia Moenchengladbach.

Napoli tried to sign the 23-year-old in the summer and agent Emanuele Marchetti said: “For the moment he is very happy and settled in Germany.

“If things changed, Napoli would be one of the first clubs to be informed.”

Kramer memorably played on for 14 minutes during the World Cup final after a collision which led to him from suffering from concussion.

The incident triggered a debate over Fifa's stance regarding head injuries suffered during games.
