Tottenham's attacking line is superior to Lvierpool's and will win them the Champions League Final , according to Darren Anderton.

Harry Kane is likely to be fit for the final in Madrid , but in his absence both Heung-min Son and Lucas Moura have stepped up, the latter scoring a dramatic second half hat-trick in Amsterdam so secure Tottenham’s place in the final.

Liverpool are set to welcome back Roberto Firmino from injury, with the Brazilian having been lethal alongside Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah for Jurgen Klopp this season.

Despite Liverpool being famed for their front three, former Spurs man Anderton thinks his old side have the edge.

"Kane needs to start, Son has been a revelation this season, and Eriksen is the one, for me, who really makes everything tick for Spurs in terms of creating chances,” Anderton said.

“I think Dele could play a deeper role, some will argue that in doing so, you don’t get the best out of him and it could leave Tottenham quite exposed to Liverpool’s incredible front three.

“Ultimately, it is the front players on both teams that will make the difference, the attacking players on each team have the individual ability that can win the game and I think Tottenham just about edge Liverpool in that department."

Spurs have had to bounce back throughout their Champions League run and have thrived when dubbed the underdogs, something Anderton feels will help them once more in Madrid.

“All the pressure if on Liverpool to win and that will play in to Tottenham’s hands,” he told Sportingbet. “After the incredible run that Tottenham have had in the Champions League this season, I would back them to bring the trophy home.

"Liverpool are favourites for obvious reasons, but it certainly feels that Spurs name is on the trophy; they’ve had an incredible run. When it comes down to a one-off match, I would back Spurs on the day against anyone.”
